French Confit Pot, Version two was created by Richard Rooze in response to the 'Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers' by Vincent van Gogh. The original antique French 'Pot de Confit' were used primarily in the south of France for the preservation of meat such as duck or goose and for dishes such as cassoulet or 'foie gras'. The bottom halves were buried in the ground to keep the contents cooler and fresher. For the lack of money a popular model used for his paintings. Color: black lines and blue handles and core. Technique: blown glass and handmade.
